How to add extra fields in Registration form

I need to add some extra fields like Address and etc. during registration. Please advice what files and DB table, I have to modify.

set your registratioin method to "Smf registration" and install the custom profile fields mod package...

Can you pl. let me know where I can find this module. I am not able to find it here.

In addition, if I use smf_registration, will there be any compatibility issues between Joomla & SMF? Because I am currently having users registered using smf_bridge and are active.

no, no compatability issues...

it is not a "module" like joomla modules, but a mod (meaning modification) package available on the mod site
