Hi,

I am currently working on a new theme for SMF 1.1RC2 (this will not work with earlier versions of SMF).

The "overall look" is almost complete and I will begin to work on the buttons and icons in the next days. Also there will be different color-versions available...

Even it is not finished yet, I'd like to read what you think of it.

EDIT:

the theme is almost done!
Colors available at the moment are yellow, green, blue.
I created a demo account for you to check it out.

Also I am looking for someone who was able to include a png-fix for IE into SMF

Its really very nice, and i love the menu. It's also good thing to know that many are actually creating better and nicer templates. Good work.

go for simple colors not dark

and make menus

Suggestion:
Change icons from Info stats (info.gif,...), with better ones

Is this going to be tableles theme?

I like it alot. More colors. I like the dark boards. Easier on the eyes IMO.

I haven't touched the default icons yet but they will be replaced and buttons for "up", "down", "reply", ... will be created.

I first thought about making it tableless but came to the conclusion it is too much work to do

(I'd realy like to do it)

Also because of the IE not understandig "min-width" this theme has a fixed width in IE and is scalable in other browsers.

I was suprised, but I like this, because normally I like more techy themes, but I really like it. =] Though the menu and header could use improvement.

I would leave this out seeing as IE7 includes this anyway

However all you need to do is find the javascript and add it to the <head> area of the template in index.template.php

I am not able to test it on every browser. Therefor this posting.

Something missing? Or just don't like it

Only plan to have more colors.
