blank page with bridge installed
« on: June 16, 2006, 09:53:27 AM »
HELP!!!

My installations:
Joomla 1.0.9
SMF 1.1.RC2
Joomla-SMF 1.1.3

I could not get the Joomla files patched during the Joomla-SMF 1.1.3 config from JoomlaHacks.  Tried many things but nothing worked.  So I uninstalled the Bridge stuff and found another Joomla-SMF 1.1.4 on SMF site.  Installed it and seemed to install okay, but now my site displays blank page!!!!

Uninstalled all the bridge stuff, still same thing!!

Completely new to Joomla.

First please do not hijack someone else's support thread.

Second, support for the Joomlahacks bridge is over on joomlahacks.com

Orstio's bridge 1.1.4 is available only on this site, if you got it any where else, then it is a joomlahacks bridge...
(and although the bridge here is v1.1.4, it is not named joomla-smf 1.1.4.)

What is your URL?

Sorry...  I am really new at all this and was not sure how to get something started.

However, I have been in touch with "Tony" from this board and he is going to help me out.

Thanks and again I'm sorry about "hijack someone else's support thread"

no problem on the hijack... just wanted to explain why I split the post off....

Also, I don't know "Tony" on this board, but since you are new, I will restate something which is stickied elsewhere on the forum...

It has come to our attention recently that some forum members are helping out with support. This is something we naturally encourage (provided they are competent with SMF of course), however some users have also been asking members to provide them with ftp and forum admin passwords.

Whilst we are sure that the majority of members are honest, we would ask that you think twice before giving out your site passwords to members who are not a part of the Simple Machines team.

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.
