Unknown column 'c.ID_CAT' in 'on clause'

Hmm, anyone seen this error before? Is there a fix for this as it's a new one on me.

I'm uisng SMF 1.0 RC2 to get the board working and will upgrade to 1.0 once all works

Neither 1.0 RC2 nor 1.0 is supported at this time.
Both they are very old and have security issues.
You are highly encouraged to upgrade to at least 1.0.7
I personally suggest you to use 1.1 RC2

Then that error will automatically be gone; because you face this error because of your MySQL version. (5.0.12)
SMF 1.1 RC2 is well compatible with MySQL 5.0.12 and higher. So you wont see that error.

Ah! Makes perfect sense to me. I have one of those providers who never updates or upgrades their software, leaving it to the subscribers to do-it-themselves.

I'll go dig out 1.1 and see if it all goes away
