A few questions

SMF Version: SMF 1.0.7
As im looking around the simple machine website for help i cant help but notice it doesnt not tell the difference between smf 1.0.X and smf 1.1.rc2. What is the rc1 and rc2? Also my first install went very clean but... when i go to the admin panel i notice there is nothing there. I have control but i have control of nothing. Are those just mods i have to install to be able to edit the news board and control permissions? I've searched for about an hour trying to find these answers with no luck so im posting them in hope that you guys can help a poor newb. Thanks

so all you have is a blank screen when you click on your admin link?

Guess it would help if i cleared this up a bit. When i click on my admin link sometimes it asks for a password sometimes it just jumps straight to it. But when i get to the admin controls there is no controls there. Where it would usually look something like this

Adminstaration Center:
News Box
Permissions

etc etc. There is nothing under administration. I'll take a screen shot.

looks like a corrupt install. the reason it prompts for the password is because admin security is turned on.
