SMF Version: SMF 1.0.7
Well Gamespy changed severs on me, so I have to move to the new one. I got a new install of 1.0.7 up and running, and after that uploaded the contents of the backup from my forum on the other sever into PHPMyAdmin. All the tables and things are showing there in PHPMyAdmin, but in the new forum install none of that information is there. None of my Admin settings, topics, boards, posts, PMs, etc. I figure somewhere between PHPMyAdmin and SMF there's a communication issue. Could you help me figure out what to do to get all my stuff from my old forums to the new? If I did something wrong please let me know and I'll start over if I need to. Oh and is there any good reason to move from 1.0.7 to 1.1 RC2 or 1.1 RC1? I though 1.07 was the latest so that's what I installed, but now I see these new versions so I was wondering.

Appreciate your help! Simple Machines is the only forums I will EVER use! Now if I could only integrate it with CPG Dragonfly...

Well let's see if I can describe what I did in greater detail since I really don't understand your question.
#1. I went into the old forums Admin/Forum Maintainance and did a backup with table structures.
#2. I installed SMF 1.0.7 onto the new server.
#3. I logged into my smf database for the new forum install on the new server via PHPMyAdmin and I imported the backup from the old forum install on the old sever I had made.

Does that answer your question?

okay. sorry, im just fighting from falling asleep.
is there anything in the error log?

DreamBliss

Error log? I didn't see any errors in PHPMyAdmin when I imported the backup, nor any at my forums.

I just tried Restore_Backup.php, and got a success message with this at the top:
Notice: Undefined index: line in /hsphere/local/home/deathbli/nucleus.planetunreal.gamespy.com/smf/restore_backup.php on line 181

Trouble is it didn't do anything :(
