It looks like the embarrased smiley has a typo... embarased most be embarrased otherwise it will not be detected as a standard smiley.

Webby could you fix that? ;)

Done :)

I am using the current christmas 'santa' smileys. But was wondering if anyone could add the same santa hat and using the same quality on these smileys:

Thanks so much! If you need the smileys for you to put a santa hat on them, here is the zip: Click Here

Personally, I don't think that would be such a good idea.

Is there a reason you don't think it would be a good idea? This is a nice set. Is it file size or something?

1. I don't like them.
2. They're too common.

Most forums have that set, and for that reason, they've gotten old, and annoying.

You mean for default in 2.0? It remains unchanged from 1.1. And I prefer that set over these ones.

I think it's unfortunate that you felt the need to insult the graphic artist who made this popular and well used set in the one thread about Webby's smilies. It's a matter of taste, and even if this set did come with the smf package anyone can change them for graphics of their liking.

I appreciate the open and giving nature of most of this communities members. Folks are just offering what they can to help.

I for one have greatly valued the button generator Webby has made available for our use.

Insult? Maybe thats going a little far.

I'm not saying that they should just be deleted, like you said its a matter of taste, and I just dont like them enough to see them in 2.0. I do agree that it awesome to see them be appreciated even if I wont use them myself.

I didn't see Gazmanafc insult anyone. I only seen his personal opinion that he doesn't like them. Just because he didn't like them, doesn't mean its an insult to the designer. A desiger should be able to take opinions in the negative just as well as the positive.

Hi..

These smilies are fantastic.

I wish to use these smilies on a non-profit community forum.

How do I get permission to use them and is there anything I need to do copyright wise in order to use them.

Kind regards,

Derek.

you just have to download and install them, these are already copyrighted to the author he is allowing you to use them for free on your forum.

If Webby would allow, why not have both sets included in base SMF install?

I am staggered that anyone thinks the default set are better than Webby's, but it is a matter of taste - I guess. :-\

Use any of the sets you see there but please leave a link back to http://www.smileyville.net

You may want to check your site for Viruses.    When I attemp to go to http://www.smileyville.net my NOD32 AntiVirus program terminates my connection with Win32/Virut.NAT Virus detection.

If it's a false positive, you should contact NOD32 and let them know so that they can update their db.   If it is a virus, OUCH for those not protected!
