Strange Problem

I have downloaded SMF files, unzipped them and uploaded with my FTP manager respecting directories, but when I write in my browser the install.php location it says that the page can't be found! I CHMODED all required files to 777 but it continues saying the same.
It's strange cause first time I write the adress the installation window appeared and all was fine, I closed the window without changing ANYTHING but when I tried later I had always the same error.

I dunno what the hell it's happening, can anyone help me?   Thanks!

I solved the problem, here it is the solution:

When you use Gzip's test, a file called .htaccess it's created in your forum's main directory. Now, when you try to get to any directory or file in your forum, this file denies you the access.

DO NOT RUN THE TEST, IF YOU HAVE RUN IT DELETE THAT FILE FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM

F***, next step creates the .htaccess file too, so I cannot continue the installation anyway. Is there any other solution to this problem?
