How to read personal text?

I've been trying to read user's personal text and depending on the text display a reminder on the posting page above the send and preview buttons. From Load.php I gather I should use $themeUser, which I've declared as global in the beginning of Post.template.php.

Then I use if (($themeUser[???]['blurb'])) DoSomething to examine whether or not there's any personal text. But what should I type in the place of ???, or is there some better way to do this whole thing?
