I couldn't pass the second step of the installation

I've uploaded the smf files on my server, then created a database for it. Then I passed the first page, At the second page where we name the forum, I filled all the areas, password and else are correct.

But when I hit the continue proceed what ever the button it takes me to the very first page where I started.

There's no error or explanation.

Are you sure your SMF version is 1.0.1 ? It is quite old. You should use at least 1.0.7
You can get the installation package from the downloads page.

Did you check all of the necessary CHMOD permission changes for the files?

I don't what CHMOD permissions. I uploaded all the folder as is. At the wosting company someone helped me get through the step three, now we can't reach the forum . They are trying to figure it out too.

I've created three blogs from WordPress I haven't had such problems. If you work for SMF, please make sure your files are correct .

I'm wasting my half day here, If the programmer at the hosting company can't resolve the problem  I will remove it.

okay now, it works, I can see my forum. It works.
Do you guys know how do I reach the admin panel of my forum?

When you log in on the account you created, you will see an admin link in the menu up at the top.

Sometimes servers just have some weird setups. SMF is usually very easy to install.

I don't know why it took us to set the things up that long.

I have some other questions, I don't if I'm in the right section to ask them.

1-  I'd lie to change the forum Title. How do I do this? I looked through some files in the folder, I couldn't see a file related to the title name.

2- How do I add advertisements on the forum.

I'm sorry, I may be asking very simple questions it's my first 30 minutes with SMF though.

2 - Look at the SMF mods. You should fin something there
