Running an ?action on a subdomain

I thought it would be a nice idea to make it possible to run individual ?action's belonging to SMF on seporate subdomains.
For example, ?action=arcade will automatically forward to games.site.com, and change all of the links pointing to the arcade action to the subdomain.

However, I'm not well skilled enough to think of a "simple" way to do this. My solution would involve modifying pretty much everything in SMF to get this to work.

Can anybody think of a "simple" way of realising this?

perhaps a .htaccess file could do this..... something with the QueryString variable and looking for certain ones.

I know that would do it for the Apache users out there, but for windows... not so sure....

Just thought of something. Perhaps it would be easier to extract the action as a seporate script onto a subdomain, running it completely seporately. Does that make any sense, or am I just complexifying things now? :D
