How to change some theme elements ?

Hi,

First, I have to say that I have read many things in the doc' and in tutorials found here, but none could answer to my questions... And I have made many experimentations on my forum without results. So here I am. Things I would like to change/add shown on this capture :


(1) : if possible I would like to add a vertical line so seperate "avatar zone" and "message zone".

(2) : if possible, I would like to change the color of the "avatar zone" only.

Could you help me to edit my *.css ? Thanks in advance.

css isnt what you'd have to edit. You need to actually change table structure/classes for that one. Look in display.template.php
