I dont want my guests to access attachments, and I have this set, but now, guests dont see anything, as if there is no attachment. Is there any way to make it so you have "attachments available to registered members only" where the attachments should be, and a link to login/register. I know there are a couple of mods to do this in SMF1.1 but these don't work for 2.0

thanks in advance

It still should show the little "paperclip" message icon for posts that have attachments.

You can try the Attachments in Topics mod, but I don't know if that will display the icon on the message index if you can't view the attachments.

no, theres no icon. It might be something theme related. This is the current view: :-

The icon would normally be displayed to the left of the subject, where your "Thumbs Up" icon is. However, it turns out that SMF will only do this if the post icon is the default one (the "xx" one). Since you have custom post icons, it probably won't work for yours.

However, only one minor change is required to make Dragooon's "Attachment Notice" mod work with 2.0 final, so this should work for you (I haven't tested it though).

I think that you might find help from people knowledgeable about the mod in the mod's support thread. Please try posting there with your question about the icon not showing up, so you can find out what you can change to make it work on your forum.
