Hi.

Some people wanted a radio for the forum. Here you have a possibility.
Radio with SHOUTcast Stats.
Link to Mod
Demo: http://www.policoncepto.com

It require to have activated MIME (CPANEL): application/x-mplayer2 *
Or, in file .htaccess: AddType application/x-mplayer2 *

Easy configuration:

If you want to look for a radio station you can make it easily from here:
SHOUTcast.com
Open file, copy IP and Port y paste..

If you radio station is your localhost, if your hosting allow "external fsockopen", or the port is 80, you should not have problems with the statistics.

NEW v0.2 (01/September/2006)

Features:
      + "Independent" administration.
      + Possibility to select up to 3 radio stations.
      + 3 connection types:
         - cURL/AJAX   -> Performance.
         - PHP/AJAX   -> Compatibility.
         - AJAX      -> Only localhost (allowed petition).
      + On/Off Radio.
      + More control of errors.
      + Upgraded Live statistics (1 minute).
      + Bugs correction (without importance).

Default, Babylon and Classic. SMF 1.1 RC2 & RC3.

This mod adds a radio player to your smf forum. You can set permissions so that only specific user groups can use it.

Excellent mod.. I just added it to my 1.1 RC2 Forum just now and its great.

Got a failed message upon install but it was an error refering to the spanish files so it dont worry me. Its working fine here.

Just 1 thing I'd like to see...

The abbility to add more than 1 station and into categories / genres ie dance hip hop etc

And maybe a drop down menu or some other means of changing between stations in the player itself also category orientated, ie dance, hip hop etc. ie drop down 1 (Options = categories / genres).. select category opens dropdown 2 (options = categorys /genres stations).

Sweet Mod man, Sweet Mod.. Just what I needed and its come along at just the right time.

Many Many Thanks  :D

Thats a new one ::) I didnt have to do that  :( But I thinks it refers to your web hosting control panel or the htaccess file in your forum directory. Open your forum .htaccess with notepad and add this line

AddType application/x-mplayer2 *

@torniyo

Any plans to add multiple stations and a drop down in the player to select stations from????

What chmod permission will this require and will this work with any online radio station?

Looks to be a very cool idea. Also is this written for easy transition to 1.1 RC3 and final?

I got this working and it's great, but my members can't see it. What do I need to change for everyone to see the RADIO link? I tried changing permissions but maybe I'm not changing them in the right place. Anyone know what I need to do? Thanks in advance for any help.

Not is chmod permission.
The problem is "external fsockopen" to any ports... "For security", a server would not should allow fsockopen to any ports. For this reason I recommend radio stations well-known. "fsockopen" open to read a file...

Anyone have a descent list of radio stations that will work with this?  Maybe a handful or two would be great!

mickyd2006

http://www.shoutcast.com/ theres loads. try to avoid stations whos addresses have directorys eg http://10.20.30.40:80/radio/ cos on my site at least stations which use directorys in thier address take alot longer to load  :-\

If you do use stations with directories remember to add http://10.20.30.40 in the first box

the port number in the second box example i gave it was 80

and thge directory in the directory's box in my example this was /radio/

Hope that helped :)
