May be others never look into the problems that i raised at here.
I don't even know if that is the problem caused by the converter. Anybody can help?

bebe

Well, i confirmed that the problem is not caused by the converter.

Once the data has been converted, the "View All Members" shows all the members in 8 pages (so far, mine is 8 pages with 30 members per page). However, after i did the "Recount all forum totals and statistics", the "View All Members" would only show 3 pages the most.

Anybody encountered similar problem as me? And any solutions for that? Please ???

Oh yes.

1.   User Email System    1.0
2.   Custom Profile Field Mod    3.15
3.   BBC Permission Mod    1.0
4.   Contact Page    1.0
5.   SMF Links    1.3
6.   Reason For Editing Mod 1.13

All of them installed successfully and running fine.
I checked Forum Error Log from time to time but didn't get any error being log there. Thanks for trying to help. :)

I want to make sure everything works before using it as the actual forum. So i only converted to a test board.

I would be able to see all the approved members listed correctly at the "Members" page (the "action=mlist"), even though some of them are not listed in that 3 pages of "View All Members" list.

Another thing to take note is, if i chang the "Members per page in member list" to 250, all the members would show there. I would assume all the members' data is there in this case. Somehow after doing the forum total counts, the pages are limited to 3 pages only.

I would re-install 1.1 SMF RC3, re-convert the database from phpBB 2.0.21, re-test the forum before installing any mod to see if this problem still exist.

Having a fresh installation of 1.1 SMF RC3, converted the database from phpBB 2.0.21.
Check the "View All Members", there are 8 pages listed.
Go and do the "Recount all forum totals and statistics", and immediately the "View All Members" pages reduced to only 3 pages.
Apparently this problem is not related to any mods.

So, any clues?

bebe

Just found out that this problem only occurred when the forum is using "Member Approval" Registration Method.

However, the re-count is very important for the "Member Approval" method, otherwise the number of approved members and the name of latest approved member would not show correctly, i.e. it will show the total of registered member and the name of latest registered member instead.

Hopefully someone can find out the solutions for this. *cross-fingers*

Still... no clues? :o

Well... at least those who has converted the phpBB to SMF 1.1 RC3 could feed back if you get the same problem as me, if you have turn on the "Member Approval" registration method and do the Recount.

Anyone?

bebe

I suspect after the recount, the scripts only count the 78 approved members (all others are under Awaiting Approval), thus only list out 3 pages with 30 members in each page (showing 90 members regardless of their approval status).

If nobody can find out what's wrong with the recount and listing of the pages, i guess i have no choice but live with it.
Luckily there is a "Search for Members" function in ACP where i have no problem get all the members listed out in 8 pages with a serach of "Activated" and "Not activated" both checked. Quite silly but out of choice. ::)

No. I have 148 members awaiting for approval. And those members are listed in 5 pages.

JayBachatero

Ok so you have 148 members awaiting approval and they don't show on the main member list?

If the member count suddenly drops after running "Recount all totals and statistics", it most likely means that some members didn't get converted properly and therefore the member count was higher than it should have been. Do you get any errors when you run the converter (make sure you've got it set to show extra info for debugging purposes)?

Hmm... member count is correct, it's the page listing problem.

No errors whatsoever while i ran the converter. And i check the data in phpMyAdmin and all the data is intact.

"View All Members" would list out all the registered members regardless of their status right? So i have 78 approved members (listed in 3 pages under Member List), with 148 Awaiting for Approval members (listed in 5 pages under Awaiting for Approval list). However, the View All Members list only show 3 pages instead of 8 pages.

If i change the limits of the members showing per page from 30 to 300, the View All Members list would show all the 226 members in 1 page. And if i change to 150 per page, it will give me the results in 2 pages too.

If i change the Registration method from Member Approval to other types, after running the Recount, the View All Members would show 8 pages. The problem only exist when the registration method is Member Approval.
