Please Help

I am using a custom template on hxxp:www.courselines.com/forum [nonactive]   and I want to do two things:

1. I want to add a menu link to a url in the main menu on top.
2. I want to add the extension in this template, specifically the ad banners mod. Or i can add the ads in html, just want one above the forum, (below the logo box), and one on the bottom. The ad mod would be  nice though.

How do I get these things to work without switching to the default template?

1. to add a menu link you have to modify the index.template.php of the theme you are using.

2. you have to modify your theme for that mod. check the mods xml to see what you have to do.
