Applying the noindex rules of SMF 1.1 only to new topics.

SMF 1.1 has implemented noindex tags for certain pages, to prevent link duplication. In particular the .msg urls from posts are now excluded, so that search engines will only index the 'root' url of a thread.

It's a great feature. However, I have hundreds of .msg style urls indexed in search engines and so I only want these rules to apply to newly posted topics. Is there some way to only have the 'noindex' tags appear for messages/posts created after a certain date?

This would allow users who update to SMF 1.1, to update their listings gradually.

Thanks for any help.
