Child Board Last Post

I've noticed the following.

Lets say I have a board named "general" with a child of "A" and a child under A labled "B".

I make my last post on the child "B".

I go back to the main page and it does not show that last post under child "B". The post is in the board but not displayed as the last post. In turn the forum stats is not showing the true last post either. It displays the last post if under the 1st level of the board, not the child.

Am i doing something wrong, or is their a tag or fix I could do for that?

Just want user's to see the real last post within a board.

To sum it up. Basically if I go 2 child boards deep on a board, the last post is not updating.

Thanks.

For the time being i removed any child boards over 1 child down. Works like that. I guess im over doing the child boards. But if there is a way to make deeper child boards to display posts made at front page do let me know.

May I ask what version of SMF your using? And is this on a custom theme? Did you check it on the default theme?

This is done intentionally. Grandchildren boards (aka child board of a child board) do not update the last post information. I believe the reason it isn't done is it could get quite intensive on the load if it included it.
