Looks like your path is fine, but your server won't allow the packagemanager to change permissions. In which case, you'll need to to this manually.

How do I use chmod?

Admin -> Registration -> Settings -> Method of registration employed for new members -> Member Activation

i chmod files but what is local path to SMF? public_html? or link to mod files?

Gary

The Local Path to SMF is the path to where you installed SMF. eg. public_html/forum (which case you CHMOD the forum directory and its contents)

The Ad Management mod uses the permissions system. Give other users permissions to view the ads.
