I got this error this morning

Attention of Ig-Oh theme:
You should put "Modifications.english-utf8.php" on the "languages" directory ( http://www.jagdyb.com/forum/Themes/igoh11rc2/languages/ ) in the theme of Ig-Oh.

Copy "Modifications.english.php" of the "languages" directory of Ig-Oh onto the first. Next, rename it according to the language for which you use the file.

All my theme images are not displaying

Forum totally bombed .. had to restore backup  goin to find  a theme that is compatable with 1.1.2 nad utf8

you are using now a new language package so you have to update all folders and language files with new languages set which is english-utf8

so if the theme use images from folder named english you should make a new folder that is named english-utf8 that contains the english folder images and so on

OK .. so i am to select English-utf8 in server settings. .. and not English ..

That path is probably fine to use. Just make sure the images are there and they're the correct ones. If they're not, you might want to do exactly what Croco suggested:

By the way, are you using the RC2 version of the theme? RC2 themes are outdated and can cause a lot of problems. There's a version of Ig-Oh for SMF 1.1.2 at http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?lemma=62 -- download and install igoh112.zip and try using it for your forum.

Thanks .. will install new theme for 1.1.2 then try the utf8 conversion again...

Ok before i do this again .. here is the steps i think i should take, so let me know if i am on the right track..

1. Upload new utf8 language packs to my forums folder

2. Maintenance>Convert Forum to utf8

3. Convert the language settings of each user by running the following query:

Code Select Expand


UPDATE smf_members
SET lngfile = CONCAT(lngfile, '-utf8')
WHERE lngfile != ''

4. Copy "Modifications.english-utf8.php" from default language directory and paste it in /forum/Themes/igoh112/languages/ in the theme of Ig-Oh.

5. In /forum/Themes/igoh112/ rename the english folder to english-utf8

6. Server Settings>Change language from English to English UTF8

7. Maintenance>Convert HTML-entities to UTF-8 characters

That should be it right ..
