SMR cannot connect to database

I see this error a few times a day.

We have 1,700 vistors in a typical day, 500 posts (750 words per), and a database going back 2 years.


What is this error?  Is it typical - do others see it - is there a possible fix?

It''s a server issue,SMF can't connect to the MySQL server. Contact your host so they can fix the problem
