No notification mails

It seems like I'm not getting any mail notifications eventhough I have selected I would liek them..

I dont see any error logs on the server... how do I track this error?

I'm using sendmail with no smtp settings set... (but that should be ok right?) I dont get any emails at all..

your host may have disabled sendmail.

If you send an email to yourself with "Email Your Members" does it work?  Anywhere?

It was a host problem and got fixed, and the notifications have started to work... *happy*
