Banners

Some of you more graphically inclined folk should make some smaller SMF banners so us non-graphics people can put them on our pages. Whoever did the box art/top logo, very, very nice looking.

How do you make a png 24 file i can only make normale png 8 files.. ( i think, i dont know. )

These are just some ideas - please feel free to make others or to post some suggestions.  Some ideas include a flash version where the lever is moving...?

The background on those is too busy Joseph, I can't read anything but simple machines, and even that is hard.
(maybe it has something to do with 1280 on 1024)

It's the white text over the white bkgrnd on the left side that is a little "busy" and hard to read IMO

Actually, I'd recommend making the background picture a little transparent (70-80% in Photoshop) and then put a 1 px black stroke around all the white stuff

I was already making banners for a project site so I took 5 minutes (no, really...5 minutes..lol) and tossed this hunk of crap together..lol

I can never get imageready to work I wish i could make animated stuff...

lol..that was just a few minutes in photoshop then saved as a .gif then imported into UGA and *poof*
