I introduce with this Topic, and introduce me what is our portal:

hxxp:www.mkportal.it/forum/index.php [nonactive]

We have interest to find one Board to work together and have a forum to be enclosed with our product and having found this Board we remained very favourably impressed !!!

I apologize for my not perfect English, but on our support forum English is treated by our moderators, I am one of the development team and not he I speak well...  :)
Therefore we have interest to know the projects of this Board and hear your line political, like that from understanding if working together and building a really excellent product is possible...

where i can take for download this Portal.regards

In Portuguese.
Com o apoio de SMF.

If you want to distribute a modified version of SMF with your portal, you will need to contact Jeff, Joseph or David to discuss this. If you just want to get SMF integrated, then you should do it like the Mambo integration was done - create a script to modify your portal and/or SMF as necessary to integrate the two (so you can install them seperately and then integrate them). Your portal looks great, especially with the ability to hide the side menus/blocks.

Hi Oldiesmann.
I' am the author and the developer of MKportal

MKPortal is a popoular CMS.
The version integrated with IPB is succesfully used in all the world and languages.
We have more than 15,000 downloads from mkportal site and too many form Hotscripts.

Recently I consider to developo a version for other boards.
I release a beta versione for PhpBB and MyBB.
U can see the version of Mkportal for these Boards at the urls:

http://www.mkportal.it  (IPB version)
http://phpbb.mkportal.it  (PhpBB version)
http://mybb.mkportal.it  (MyBB version)

Now I am working to develop a version also for SMF.
Mkportal is distributed without the board and it is installed on a board.
It only needs a small change in the source in order to view the forum inside the portal (as for smf the file Subs.php).

So I don't need to distribute a  modified version of SMF.
I only distribute a version of MKPortal with the instructions to change the source of the board.

Obvisiouly, I am the coder of mkportal, and I don't need any technical support to integrate it with new boards  :-)

In a week I'll release a beta version of MKPortal for smf.

Regards.

Luponero aka meo.

Jerry

I look forward to your release meo :)

A dark spot in the light is nearly seen, but a light in the darkness is seen miles away.
Try to be that light for others.

I have write the driver of mkportal for smf.
I have find the way to view the forum inside the portal.

Smf works very well with mkportal in my local machine.

Now I am converting the blocks of mkportal to work with smf.
Finally I'll convert the persmission system of mkportal for smf.

;)

Varment

I can't wait to try this out, I have been looking for a good portal to go with the forum I'm putting together.

luponero

Ok ok,
MKportal for SMF is on line.

You can see it at the url:

http://smf.mkportal.it

Register to appreciate the features.

In the next days I'll release the first downaloadable version.

The installation is quiet simple.

;)

I like the folding "up" for the left and the right column. That way members can see for themselves if they want the extra info or not.

Maybe an idea for a theme (in combination with the shoutbox this would also be great !) ?

Looks very good.  I'm afraid there's just one pet peeve - although I would guess this comes more from language barriers than anything else.

Thanks for the work - and if there's anything you think should be changed to benefit the integration, please do let me know - time is closing short for the final release of 1.0.

luponero

Right.

Tomorrow I'll release the first Beta version of mkportal x SMF.

ANyone planning on making more themes for the forums to match the Ice and Default templates of the PORTAL? That would be awesome! ;D

Check the main site.   http://mkportal.it  You'll have to install M 02 and then the M 03 Upgrade.

It is a pretty nice portal, I've installed it on a test site... but it dosen't look like it is really being embraced by the SMF community - which seems much more interested in Mambo.

I've had a few login/logout problems with mkportal.  also, it is difficult to use SSI functions within the blocks.  The author has provided a workaround - but I cannot ger that to work.
So, I'm looking at Mambo at the same time.

cheers,

admactanium
