The user should be able to define the number of threads and reply's per page, which should be displayed.

This option could be setup in the user profile.

any chance to see this feature implemented ;-)

Sometimes I find 20 threads per page are too less for me ;)

I personally like 50 per page, myself, and would support an end user's definable option for this...  All the other guys have it, why not throw our hat into the ring?

Quoteand would support an end user's definable option for this

exactly.
Especially users, with a big screensize and fast internet connections could increase the number of threads for themself, without discriminating modem users.

Concured, but there should also be a maximum they can set it to or malicious users might set it to 500000000 and keep hitting refresh

Yes, didn't think of that abuse.

I think this could be adjusted in the admin panel.

My default suggestion's would be 20, 35, 50, 75, 100 for the user's choice

I'd set a max vlaue... or something.  Like 256....

Yeah, I agree... just patience.

will we see this function already in SMF 1.0 or in a later version?
I think this is one of the functions which would make SMF kickass ;)

Looks like this idea got lost in all the threads here. I haven't even seen this thread before and I've been here a long time.

Bringing this topic up, because I belive this is very usefull feature and I was kinda shocked that SMF didnt have it by default...

I also think it would be a nice feature. And could be rather convenient to the users if a message board by default has more or less than a member would like to see on one page.

Another vote for adding this feature.  Seems like it would be an easy coding update, and I was also suprised it wasn't there already.
