An SMF-like WYSIWYG editor [help]

I am working on making a text editor in similar style to the one SMF uses, and it's not going very well, I am afraid. I have reworked the entire code several times, but nothing... nothing at all.

So now I ask you of the scripting community;

Can someone lend me a code for a functional WYSIWYG editor, in style with SMF's one, that doesn't require the forum software to be installed, and that is capable of handling more than 500 pages without errors, and that can save these blocks of texts into HTML format on the site?

Thanks in advance.

did you look at FCK editor?

That might just be what I am looking for. I'll play around with it. Thanks.

FCK editor and tinyMCE are the best ones out there that are free. But don't expect them to be perfect. Sometimes in some cases, WYSIWYG editors are annoying to use.

I quite agree. I am just looking for something that is not as disfunctional as Spaw, and obviously; the SMF writing box works perfectly with insanely long posts. So I need it for my fiction system online <3
