QuoteIllegal mix of collations (latin1_swedish_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_general_ci,COERCIBLE) for operation 'like'
File: /home/wwwbark/public_html/Sources/Subs-Members.php
Line: 899

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.4, while your database is at version 1.1.2. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

Question: How do I upgrade my database?

Sarge

Hello again DadL, long time no see! How have you been? :)

In SMF Admin > Forum Maintenance, do you have "Convert the database and data to UTF-8" or do you have "Convert HTML-entities to UTF-8 characters"?

Can you download Subs-Members.php from the server, copy the lines 890-899 and paste them here? If you're not sure where the lines are, attach the file to your reply.

Which one? You can have one or the other, but not both. :) For example:

Can you check the smf_members table in your forum database from phpMyAdmin and post the collations here?

Sorry for the delay. Are you still experiencing the problem? If yes, try this:

1) Get a backup your forum database. Very important!

2) Delete global_character_set from the smf_settings table.

3) Go to SMF Admin > Forum Maintenance and run "Convert the database and data to UTF-8".

Let me know how it goes. :)
