What I'm looking for is a way that when user or membergroup loggin a specific post is open as a main page in that session so I'm sure that if he loggin he had read that post.  ;)

You might want to consider ticking the "announce topic" button, which sends a PM to all members about the topic.

Yes sometimes I use announce topic but in this case it is not what I need.  I would like a way that I member must read a topic after loggin and before he can browse the rest of the forum.

Well the problem is you can hardly force him to read it, even if you make him go to the specific page of the post.  I mean, when was the last time you actually read the license agreement on software you've installed, or the ToS on the site's you've registered with?

OK, I understand but perhaps a Mod that call attention to topics that Administrator posted and he would like that this member (of this specific membergroup) should read it (without using announce that I know works fine but I would like to use something without the necessity to email).

I find that attention-grabbing news snippets can generally promote interest in reading a post rather than just smashing it in people's faces.

Good idea Eliana - and yes, you can use the [ url ] BBCode in the news, so you can link to it.

I have seen this functionality for vBullentin, where you have to read a rules thread before you enter a certain board or read certain threads before you can view the forums. The idea is that you only have to view the thread once and its automatically shown to you. If necessary, somebody with the permissions can then make you read them all again, this is useful if somebody breaks the rules and you want them to see the rules again.

This could make a nice mod, however if I made it then users would hate me for it. ;)

Have a look at this

You should be able to only make certain member groups be able to see it.
