"Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again." I receive this error when the forum is in Maintaince mod. I have no mods installed, it is fresh install. Can somebody explain me how to remove this error?

stmartin

Any help please? What causes this? Maybe it is server-side problem?

Did you do the maintanence?

I have SMF 1.1.5, no errors in the error log, I tried with SMF 1.1.5 on another server, and still it happens. Probably is some bug in this version. Also I tried to truncate the smf_session and smf_log_in (or something like that), and didn't help.

This happens, when regular user is trying to log-in while the forum is in maintenance mod.

Can you link to your forum?  Did you just set it up, were you ever able to log in?  Do you access your forum via frames/iframes or redirects?

nauka.byethost3.com
try with user: test

I posted on the other thread. Please look there.

Rumbaar

I think you'll find it has to do with the nature of your byethost.com free hosting service.  Are you on the free or premium service?  I know some free hosts insert code into pages or have funny ways of doing things. I take it nauka.byethost3.com & nauka.byethost.com are differ? or other byethost.com domains?

Yes. nauka.byethost3.com and nauka.byethost.com are different. I use free service. Try also nauka.freehostia.com

Did you get the same error like I do?

Rumbaar

Yes I got the same error, and I'm sure it's a result of the type of service you are using.  A solution for that type of issue, I'm not sure of.  Can you log in when not in maintenance mode?

The other link was unavailable due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems.

Yes, I can log in when I am not in maintenance mode. Can you try on your server to put it for a second on maintenance mod and try to log in with user, not with admin? I can log-in with admin while maintenance mod. If you would like, or you have tried, can you tell me did this happens on your server?

Rumbaar

Yes I do get that same result when in maintenance mode for my test account when trying to log in when the forum is in maintenance mode.  I though you were getting this as Admin?  But it should still log that non admin account in though.

So, it is not server-side problem, right? I think this is not serious problem, and it should probably be solved in future.

Rumbaar

Well normal users can't do anything while in maintenance mode anyways.  The login feature is there for Admins so they can log in and alter the current maintenance level of the forum.  I'm sure it's part security feature as well, to keep people out from doing anything while in that mode.

No that particular error doesn't appear to be server related.
