How to change default message icon ?

Hello, For my forum, i have setup a new icon which i need it as default rather than the standard once.  Can you tell me how shall i do that ?

xx.gif is the name of the default icon.

Simply upload your image as xx.gif.

Located in:  $smf_root/Themes/*your_theme*/images/post

oh okay.. i actually named the new image differently.. so was thinking of keeping the standard image and editing from the file the name for the default image.

It's possible, but you'd have to edit more than just one file. I'd just keep it as xx.gif
