I was using the search index feature but now I want to go back to no index. I set it to no index but in the database it still has this table that is over 400 megs. I want to backup my database but would rather it not contain the index stuff. Can I safely drop or truncate those search tables?

Is this in the wrong forum?  ???

You are best doing it via smf

Admin > Search > Search Method
Remove custom index

(it might not just be the table, but settings aswell, so best to err on the side of caution)

Yes, I'm sorry, regularexpression hit the nail on the head. I had overlooked that setting.

Thanks, regularexpression. I'm sorry I got busy and forgot to show appreciation.
