I have v1.1.8 and I'm still seeing an old problem that I find very irritating: if I login to the forum and try to post really quickly I get an error message "The last posting from your IP was less than 30 seconds ago" (which is a lie, because there is obviously no such "last message", since I will have just frackin' logged on a few seconds before) and an invitation to wait until trying again.

How do I get rid of this (or at least shorten the wait)?

Thanks.

If you have a busy forum and you are on dialup or DSL where your IP can change, or multiple people from the same internet connection are posting to the board at the same time, you will experience this.

You can disable the time between posting in Admin > Posts and Topics > Time required between posts from the same IP

Ah, OK, stupid me, thanks. :)

That's how it gets when things have too many options to customize. :D
