The upload folder is full

well i went to my error log and got this error on critical can some one tell me what it coud be

    Apply Filter: Only show the errors of this type  Type of error: Critical

The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator.

It means that your upload folder has reached it capacity either from attachments or avatars. Now depending on what version of SMF you are running 1.1.X or RC1 you would sort this our in different ways or places.

BUT I see you are using RC1 so go to Admin CP - Forum - Attachments and Avatars and check what is going on

is there any way i can restric upload avatars only to admins i dont want to use to much hd on avatars lol

Yes, Admin CP - Forum - Attachments and Avatars - Avatar Settings - Uploadable avatars - Then click on -     
Select permissions for each group- and now just configure it as you want

ok set tha up now i still have the folder full how does a folder gets full? how can i give it more space

and another thing in the same section theres a file maintinience

everytime i try to delete avatars of users that have not been conected in a few days it gives me this error

The space issue is most likely from your webhost. If you need more space, you might have to get a better webhost package that provides more space.

Did you try giving those inactive users a default avatar or no avatar and then try deleting the file?
