PAID - SMF Media Gallery (SMG) - Feature request

Ok I am not 100% sure if this is the correct board for this but here goes.

I have asked Nao to do the following paid feature on SMF Media Gallery (SMG)

Here's what I could do: each new album automatically creates a new topic in a specific board you set up.
Every time an item is posted to the album, the topic's first message is updated with a list of the latest thumbnails (or all thumbnails if there aren't that many items in the first place) and a link to the album page. A new post is also added, with a preview (not a thumbnail) of the item, and a link to the item.
One could also determine whether they want these topics to be locked, ie can people comment on them or not?

Is this how you envision it?
I could also update the smg tag so that it could be used to show a list of thumbnails based on an album ID. Like, [smg album=12 limit=50 sort=id order=desc] would show the last 50 thumbs in album #12. Not sure about sort and order. Album and limit would be done though. So I just need to insert a single smg tag in the topic's first message and be done with it (no need to update it).

Should I consider this mod request to be dropped?
If yes, as I said earlier, I will still write it, but integrate it into my future mod for SMG (which will not be free, and will offer several big new features).

Well so far it looks like it would only be the two of us that would put up cash for this one so yes we may as well drop it thanks anyway  Will you come back to us once you have done it then  in your future release  and we can purchase that one

Yeah.
But the starting price for the mod will be higher than I first thought. Weeks of preparation on the code + 2 weeks of work fulltime so far, I need to recoup my costs -- especially when I think I'm going to have only 3 or 4 sales, lol... The less purchase intentions I will get, the higher the price will be.

My costs are way higher than anything that could be imagined, I guess. I would estimate the number of hours I spent on this mod at over 200 hours this far (which several times less, though, than the time I spent on Aeva for instance). Multiply this by any hourly rate, even a low one...

Well with a bit of luck the lower the price the more people will be inclined to actually pay for it

Oh you know, it doesn't work like that...
After all, I can't count the number of people who paid $50 for SMF Gallery Pro, and added an extra $30 for the video module. I can't count either the hundreds of dollars that were voluntarily donated to Dragooon for the SMG project (of which he shared a meager $28 with me, hush hush ).
As always, my goal is not to make money, but it's one of my most complicated implementations since I started working on SMG, and honestly I really think it's time I made a few bucks off SMG. Otherwise I may really lose interest after a while.

The fact that I ended up paying good money for SMF Gallery Pro has been the reason I have not come over to this one as yet .

Yeah but I know what you mean I try as much as possible to hit a donation to a developer that is doing a good job with a mod I have
