typing text in the text body= jumping

I am running 1.1.9. I have noticed that when I am entering a topic in the Text box field that after I type for so long and I'm down near the end of the box, my cursor starts jumping and from when it start jumping, what I am typing is not visible. I can click on the scroll bar and scroll down to see it but when I put the curser at the last character, it jumps back up and as I'm typing, it just keep jumping back and forth. It's like there is a character limit but if I keep typing and then post it, all of the text is there.

Does anyone know why this is happening and if this is a setting or something somewhere?

Nevermind, Just figured it out. If you are having this problem, are you running Internet Explorer 8? I bet you are. If so, simply go to TOOL>Compatability View Settings and ADD this site and your site or forums URL.

I just done this and it has corrected the problem. Hope this helps.

This is a bug in IE8.

We have a bug report for 2.0 on this with regards to whether we do a temporary fix until ms patches it.
