I've been waiting forever! But no one seems to know how to make this work. It would have been an excellent and very powerful mod in any SMF forum.

It's a great mod, but consumes many resources on my shared server.

Yes, that is indeed a serious problem for those who have a big forum. I have over 100k posts in my forum and i think this will be a big problem for me too. I certainly do not want to risk being kicked out of my shared server by my host... Unless the script is recoded to take this into account, for example, if this mod auto pauses every 5 secs or less.

That's why the 100 link limitation was implemented into the mod, if you bypassed it then, well its not warrantied anymore..

I used it fine on my forum, but then several people had threads with other 100 links, not that bad a deal, but with no way of editing the threads when the mod is enabled, it had to be removed.

Isn't there any solution to work around the 100 links problem? Maybe fix the script to detect that and pause every 100 links.

The is a edit you can make to avoid it, but then it starts giving false results, dead links alive and vice versa

I hope somebody takes up this mod and continues its development. It's really one of the best mods for any forum, as it means less work for the forum staff to have to check for dead links. If only i knew that SMF/php stuff...

Nobody will, its simply because this mod really supports one kind of forum, and those kind of forums are frowned upon here

So... Nobody is allowed to pick this mod and continue its development? I think it is a very useful mod and SMF should support ALL types of forums, and it's not about illegal sharing, though i have to agree that most do use it for that purpose, but for those who are legit, this mod should exist, otherwise SMF might lose to other forum platforms and what's the point in being free, if freedom for development is stifled or "frowned upon".

Well, even if someone here wanted to, they could have to get permissions from M-DVD 1st.

SMF does not have anything to lose by losing this mod, with the assumption that everybody would be using this mod for illegal sharing, nobody wants to help, its a lost cause lol

I don't think that is ilegal sharing, at least in Spain. In Spain it's 'a'legal...
In Spain these forums are fully legal and that's why this mod is so important. It is wrong to say that it¡s something ilegal because it isn't, at least in Spain.
To me that you say it is illegal is a job and you're offending me.

He tenido que borrar los logs de la DB y reiniciar el MOd, pero arregla los enlaces que estaban mal y algunos enlaces que estaban bien, los confunde. Gracias"

I'm not the one assuming the use of this mod to check links to illegal content, as you can see I have offered support on this mod before, personally, I don't care about it, everything will be pirated, no matter what, this link checker is not the cause of it, neither helps it.

As for your issue, When you have made manual edits to bypass the 100 link limit, that is exactly what happens, as I mentioned a few posts ago, to fix it you will need to clear all the records from the smf messages . checker column, also undo the edit you made.

If you have not made edits to bypass the 100 link limit, then the issue is caused somewhere else. (which I don't know)

Además he encontrado un archivo muy util donde proprcionan el funcionamiento y la api o el checkfiles de varios servers mas, si me dices como arreglar este par hotfile, creo que podré adaptarlo a otros servers.

Por cierto decirte que funciona mal pero funciona, detecta los enlaces de hotfile pero pone a todos como muertos y no aparece ningun enlace de hotfile en la DB...ese es el error.

No se si es una tonteria o costara adaptarlo pero creo que la informacion que he dado es bastante util, simplemente dime como hacer este e intentare adaptar otros muchos servers.
