Hi All! My site went down yesterday for various reasons, when it was fixed and back online i noticed my shoutbox was missing but in admin panel it still showed as there? So i tried uninstalling the relevant mod but all i keep getting is this message "Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again". It then turned out that all the mods when i try and uninstall/delete give that message, so im somewhat puzzled? Can anyone shed any light please? Thanks, Andy.

Please try eventually to do what the message says, to log out and back in. Then, try cleaning the browser's cookies.
Can you try in another browser as well?

Same here.  It's been a few versions since I have done any Mod work.  Last before 1.1.10 was 1.1.7 I think, maybe older.

It doesn't matter the browser, the cookies, the sessions, nothing, I have tried everything from all posted on this site to reinstalling the plain default theme with no mods, nothing is working.

Same error about Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

any fresh ideas would be great. I just want to remove a couple mods. that's it.  other than this error in the Admin Panel, the rest of the forum works great.

I just checked another forum of mine.  Same server (on a subdomain of the first forum's site) same settings, same everything except for the odd Mod here and there (one has 33 Mods one has 23) and no problems at all.  Its just the one forum that is giving me the error.

Can you please check, how are these settings set:
Enable local storage of cookies (SSI won't work well with this on.)
Use subdomain independent cookies (turn off local cookies first!)

I have run them through the gammit.  both on, both off, one of each.  I have had them both unchecked since SMF 1.0.5 as I have separate forums on different subdomains.

Currently they are set to Local un checked subdomain checked.

dragonking, is this issue resolved now? If not, you may send me a PM with the following information:

- a temporary SMF admin username and password
- access to your webhost control panel

Please change the password for the webhost before providing me access. You may change it back when I'm done.
