Weird message after upgrade & theme change

I recently upgraded SMF 1.1.10 from 1.1.9 and am having some issues.

When I go to log in after logging out I get this message:

An Error Has Occurred!
You were unable to login. Please check your cookie settings.

This happens when I change the forum theme. I am locked out of the account and have to delete the entire theme in the FTP folder, then I can access my account and change it back to the default.

I have tried this using many different themes and the same thing occurs... Any ideas?

Clear your cookies for your browser then try again.

Can you get into the admin panel? If so go into the Server Settings and find the cookie name - usually SMFCookiexxx (where xxx is a number). Try changing it and then log back in - what happens?

Please note that you can always revert to the default theme by typing ?theme=1 to the full address of your forum (that is, http:// address/index.php?theme=1), in case some issues happen on the other themes.
