I've got a problem installing some theme's.

Is it a simple matter of pointing to the ZIP and uploading it?  Or do I have to do something else?

It says it's successful, but when I preview it- the images don't show.

Dotn you just wish people would look first?

Use the search button ^^

Check if all imagefiles were uploaded into the themedirectory.

Are the paths to the images set correct? Admin -> Theme and Layoutsettings -> The theme you uploaded

No - But I fixed that.  No change in how it behaves.

I still see text - no images.

EDIT:  Or should I maybe move the files over to where they should be?!

Hmmm - wont let me edit my other post...

But ignore the double / before helious - should just be 1 / not 2

EDIT:

Appears I can edit this.

OK - clicking around, when I click on 'Modify the style.css file' I get

The file you are trying to edit... can't even be found!

I'm thinking this is a BAD thing.

Is there a reason you can't just give a link to your actual forum page so we can see it?

As for the theme, can you give exact step-by-step instructions on how you uploaded it? First, you would download the theme locally to your computer, then log into your forum, click on Admin and then click on "Theme and Layout Settings" under Forum Configuration.  Under Install a New Theme section, click the "Browse" button next to "From a file:" and find the zipped file you downloaded for the theme on your computer.  After you find it, click "OK" to select it, then click the "Install!" button.  You will get a popup asking if you want to install the theme and you would click yes, then you should get a success message.  At this point, the theme should be properly working.  You should be able to go into your Profile and select that as the theme in your "Look and Layout Preferences" settings.  If this is not the method you used to install the theme, then remove the theme and redo it following the above steps.

Could be a permissionproblem, please check them:
Helios Theme directory 755
Imagedirectories 755
style.css 644
templatefiles 644

Miraenda : Sorry - on another site I don't post direct links to things but here

http://tconline.buildtolearn.net/aanetgames

Yes - I did install the themes just as u said... tried it 3 times - no change.

xenovanis : here are the permissions of folder atm.

themes/Classic 755
themes/default 755
themes/helios 777

I can't find the ImageDirectory folder that you mention (I'll keep looking)

But should I change the classic and default to 775?

EDIT

style.css is 755
I can't find templatefiles atm - I'm still looking

This is a known problem in some versions of the Helios theme.  Make sure you're using the newest versions of both Helios and SMF.
