post & topic counting

How do you make a board that count not only its numbers of posts & topics but also those from its child boards?  Because right now, I have a board with 7 child boards.  The child boards have many posts and topics, but the parent board shows 0 post and 0 topics since the parent board itself doesn't have any post or topic.  I want to make the counting in parent board show the counts from both parent & its child boards.

Don't mean to be a bother, but does anyone know what code or is there a mod it to do something like this now.

i think there is nothing available to public (1.0.3/1.0.4)
                           may be some one make that mod but i think 1.1 will be the best optio instead of using mod.but don't know when it comes out to public.that why i said wait
