Very Odd Tmeout Problem

Hi!  I run a writing board with not-too-many members and not-too-many posts, and despite a recent upgrade and KrisBarteo attack, we've been generally pretty free of terrible problems.   Usually, I can figure most things out with trial and error and screaming at the computer.   Not this, though.

One of my users - only one has this problem where she gets logged out if she writes too much.  I know it isn't permissions, because she has several characters, all in different groups, and it's happening to all of them.  It isn't happening to anyone else.
Here is what she sent me:

"Basically the problem is this:  I can't post more than approx. 2 - 3 lines of type. (Which is why all my ooc replies are so abrupt). If I try to post more than 2 -3 lines in a subject, the forum times out. Won't post it."

Any thoughts?  We haven't been able to make heads nor tails of it!  Is it even an SMF thing at all?

Can you please ask her what browser she uses, and what happens eventually when using Firefox (if possible) or simply any other?
To-do lists are for deferral. The more things you write down the later they're done... until you have 100s of lists of things you don't do.

I am pretty sure it's on Firefox, as well..  she added this:

"I'm getting an HTTP timeout, by the way. It says the website isn't contacting me back, essentially. Which is why I thought it could be a problem with Clockabye.
...I couldn't remember what error it was exactly, until I did it again just now.
...Oh, and it does the same thing on three different browsers. So...it's not my browser. :\"

Would it be possible for her to take a screenshot or copy both the message as the address in the browser when receiving it?

Alternatively, if she has the problem with more accounts, could she try a new test account and see if it still happens?

I asked her, and this is what she said:

"This is what I get when I try to reply to a thread in Google Chrome.

"Request Time-out
Server timeout waiting for the HTTP request from the client."

URL: http://www.clockworklullabye.com/board/index.php?action=post2;start=0;board=1 [nofollow]

The error in Firefox says "HTTP Error 408 Request Timeout."

Happens in all browsers I've tried: IE, Firefox & Google Chrome.

Happens with all "older" accounts (dralore, Tierney, Bree, Cleo Evans, Remiel), and even my most recently registered one (Lorena) which I registered last week."

It may be that she has a slow connection, generally.
It may also be that the forum is also experiencing some load. (though I didn't really notice that)

Perhaps she will agree to run in a command prompt:

tracert www.clockworklullabye.com

and send me the result in a PM please? (the route may be better not public)

I've investigated the issue directly on the clockworklullabye.com forum and is my understanding that the problem was related to her modem. It should be solved for a while now.
