I have one problem.  I'm getting a blank white square where the person's avatar should be located.  Is there any permissions or settings other than the main "enable buddy lists" that need selected?

It is like in your example.  Some people are showing up as blank and others w/ their avatar.

No, there isn't any other setting or permission. If the user doesn't have an avatar, it should blank.

Ok, these people do have avatars.

I put three people on my buddy list and only one of them is showing.

I took a screen shot of my member list and added a screen shot of the buddy list to show you that they have avatars, but aren't showing up.

(The other person has an avatar, but is not on the same page of the member list, so I couldn't have it show on the screen shot.


UPDATE:  I think I figured out the problem, but don't know how to remedy it.  I do not have avatars already on the forum, but I allow the members to either link a picture or to upload  their own picture to use as an avatar.

The ones that are NOT showing are uploaded.  The one that IS showing up is linked.

OK, I fixed the problem. Quick fix:
Find in ./Themes/default/BuddyList.template.php:

Replace with:

You should update this mod to look nicer on SMF2.0 RC2. Its also calling to the wrong css in buddylist.template.php. Real easy fixes.

Hello there .. I tried to use this mod and got an error when clicking the "Buddy List" button on the menu.

An Error Has Occurred!
Wrong value type sent to the database. Array of integers expected. (buddy_list)
Back

This error occurred when using the default theme and a custom theme.
When installing, no errors or failures occurred.

I am using SMF 2 RC 2.

Not sure how to fix. Any suggestions?

I'm using same codes as SMF, and SMF's buddy page doesn't have this error... And this error comes when there is no buddy in the list.

I do have buddies. I have one buddy listed on my profile and when I try to use this mod, I get that error.

Yagiz, I'm referring to my Buddy Page mod - I have users reporting this too, both with and without buddies. Something is messing up the field in the DB that causes it, but I have no idea what.

What is breakng it is the Ultimate profile Mod

Install this before (UP) Its Fine after It breaks it.
Install UP after This Mod, same thing happens.

Whichever conotation used it still brings this error up.

I there a fix for this

That's because UP has broken the buddy_list field in the database by not handling it properly.

Yagiz, the issue is where UP is updating the field; it's adding quotes around it where it shouldn't be - check the query, you'll likely find it has a pair of quotes around the actual value in it.

I think it's because I've added {string:xx}, but I should add {raw:xx}, right?

Depends what the data type is. You should not ever have to be adding your own quotes anywhere in the DB layer unless the content specifically requires it.

{string:xx} should be used here, and the string itself should have no quotes, since {string:xx} will escape it itself.

Adding support for old versions? No ... RC3 will be released soon and I can't understand why there are users who still uses RC 1.2

Have just installed UP and now my current buddies can not be made my buddies on the UP.
I am using 2.0rc2 default theme.
Any help would be great as I still want to add these guys to my buddy list.
