The image talks by itself:

Also the "Subject" and "Message icon" texts alignment aren't right.

Is  "Enable bulletin board code (BBC)" checked?

Atoa

Yes it marked.
The BBC and smileys works fine, just the list isn't being shown on the tropic creation/edition

They also disappeared from the quick reply box.

Try clearing your browser's cache, this should solve the problem. As for the bbc in quick reply, if this was a mod that you had installed, on the upgrade to RC2 the mod will have been uninstalled, along with any other mod. As far as I know there is no mod that adds BBC to quick reply for RC2 as of yet, although there may have been an update, I havn't checked recently, you can look through the modifications site anyways to see if there is one.

@ hadesflames
Thanks, i didn't knew that this would happen because of the browser cache.

hadesflames

You're not the first person this has happened to, and every time clearing the browser cache does the trick ;)

Glad I could help

Hi folks,

I have the same problem and both - clearing the cache as well as toggling the "enable bbc" option, didn't work.
See screenshot below.

Appreciate any help you guys can extend.

Thanks much.

This one is because you likely installed a theme incompatible with your version of SMF. Whenever you download a theme that looks appealing, make sure it supports your version of smf or this will happen. Assuming you are able to get into smf's admin panel, uninstall the theme and reset everyone to a working theme. If not, then go to yourforum.com/index.php?theme=1 to switch yourself to the default theme, then do the above.

Well there should be a 3rd option since I've cleared my cache ( used IE too ), made sure that the current theme is compatible ( also tried the 2 standard ones ) and yet the result is the same - no BBC icons/smileys. Can you think of something else ?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

My solution was to replace all the java script files in the default/scripts/ folder and now it works like a charm.
