how to enable WAP mode / theme?

how can i make it so when someone access my forum from a mobile device the WAP mode / theme displays? I can view the forum in WAP mode right now by adding /?wap2 to the url but would like this to display automatically when accessing from a mobile device.

Do i need to do this with custom htaccess or is their something already written to do this?

When you access a forum from a mobile device, SMF automatically detects it and activates wap mode.

this doesnt seem to be happening for me. i checked on a palm pre and iphone. any ideas?

Your Pre and iPhone have full html browsers so they would be recognized as such and show the full html forum by default. You can manually add the ?wap2 to the end of your url on your phone to see what it looks like.

erictr1ck, if you have one of those smartphones that have the full browser as mentioned above, they will not display in WAP mode unless you force it to. This is by design as if you are on a computer and not an SMF issue.
