Hello,

I have a set of smileys, that i uploaded to forum/smileys/mytemplatetheme (this sentence sounds like a song!) however after i did this, the smileys displayed when writing a new post changed to text links, so obviously the call for the smileys needs to be changed somewhere to call the new smiley file names?

Could someone tell me how to do this please?

Oh and while i am here, i havent tried it yet, but i will be wanting to do the same for the message icons.  Could someone tell me the process involved here too?

Thankyou very much ;)

ok, i've figured it out myself, so for the benefit of others this is what i did (elders feel free to make any corrections)...

1.  Upload your smiley folder with all its smileys to yoursmfdirectory/smileys/yourtemplatetheme (create the directory yourtemplatetheme if its not there, which it probably wont be, eg if your template is 'kingkong' make the directory 'kingkong' in yousmfdirectory/smileys/ and put all your new smileys in there).

2.  Log into your forum admin and go to Smileys and Smiley Sets.

3.  Go to smiley sets>'New Smiley Set'

4.  Enter the necessary info here and check to make default and 'import smileys already in this directory'.  Save.

5.  If you only want the smileys in your new set showing go to 'Edit Smileys' and remove what you dont want to see.

6.  Just have a poke around this area to get it how you want it exactly, having another window open refreshing a posting page to see how it looks etc, but that should pretty much do it ;)

I can get the smileys to show and everything but there's no way to get them to show in a pop-up window without goping through all of them one-by-one and changing them there.

That is certianly not worth it. Any ideas on how to change them all at once?

TIA.

Just an FYI - you can put several smilies in a popup all at once.  Just check the box next to each smiley then scroll to the bottom and use the drop down menu to apply an action to all items that are checked.  One of the options in the drop down is: "Show on Popup"
