possible bug in retrieving password

I had thought I was banned , but thankfully reassured by Kindred that I was not.

I am using IE8, when i went to retrieve my password, I go to the stage that asked for my email address, received the email, clicked the link and was sent straight back to the prompt asking for my email address.

In this case Kindred reset my password for me.

I have now noticed this occurring on another forum that uses 1.1.11

I'd be willing to speculate it's related to http://dev.simplemachines.org/mantis/view.php?id=4204 where it's being hashed when it shouldn't be.

so far, I am experiencing this on 1.1.11 and 2.0 boards.

ummm why is this being put into 1.1.X support?  As I clearly mentioned in the OP - it is to do with THIS board... and it has occurred on a couple of forums from 2.0 and 1.1.X...

Anyways, is it a setting in my IE8?

Well, does it happen if you use a different browser? That will eliminate it being IE8 or not.

I have no idea why it was moved to 1.x Support.

I will try it out when I get a bit more time (bit busy atm with completing my MSc, starting a PhD, moving countries and recovering from injury/illness - oh fun fun)

Anyways, I will try with Mozilla, Chrome... the usual suspects

Hello,

I'm Using 1.1.11 and when someone uses forget password they get sent email with a link which just keeps going in a circle.

forget password... they get email with link... goes back to forget password. So no new password reset email is sent. Just the intial email sending them back to put their email back in again.

One big circle or loop.

Any ideas to what's causing this?
