ver:SMF 2.0 RC3 (might in all versions)
In the left side of calendar, the weekday is missing words or the weekday is "break". please check the img i upload.

I just check simplemachines.org (this forum), it have the same problem for this issue.
please change your language to Chinese/Japanese, then visit the calendar, you will the this bug.

it's a known bug with substr()

This bug has been partially fixed after I told to Kindred, but still need to be fixed for the left column.

This is an occurrence of Bug #3738: strlen and substr calls should by $smcFunc['strlen'] and $smcFunc['substr'].
I think it is worth testing on the latest svn version/nightly build, it might be fixed already.
