Child Board Customisation - DUBCNN/DUBCC/DETOX

Hi,

Dubcnn.com and our forums hxxp:dubcc.com [nonactive] are looking to have a Child board within our main forum section to ensure all threads/posts on the impending Dr. Dre DETOX album release is in one place.

As such we want to have a differing design to show a clear difference that the board is a child board for Detox - can anyone advise if they are able to design such a style template for our forum?

do you mean different style for the childbord as in on the main page so the childboard is different color/design or just the actual look of the childboard once you enter it?

yeah its possible if you just want the board to be different once you enter it you can select a specific theme installed on your forum to be used as default for that board, which would be the theme you want displayed for the Dr Dre theme, which if you look around you should be able to find a black & green theme that can be easily modified to carry Dr Dre images - which could be as simple as adding a dr Dre logo/banner to a black & green theme

once you got theme installed then you would do the following

goto the modify boards option in your admin panel and select to modify your childboard

at the bottom there should be a drop down box that you can select a theme for the board

then select the Override Members Theme tick box

this will then when a member enters that childboard change their chosen theme automatically to the theme you have selected for that board
