I've seen a few posts about the audiblepm mod nolonger being available, so have decided to share my own version of that function.
If anybody wants to submit it to the mod site as their own, then please feel free to do so, replacing all instances of my name with theirs of course
I've left it to the basics without a session call, because I prefer the recipient to always have it reminding them until they read their PM(s).
Im only sharing this, and not supporting it, although I have it devised so that it should install into both branches of smf without conflict.
So yes, it works for both smf1 and smf2.
If you can advance on this and/or clean it up, then great!! do so.

AudiblePM hated me and I lost all hope.  First, my coding experiment last night worked and now this.  It must be a sign that my life is getting better.  If birds come and place a garland of flowers around my head and some wood nymph brings me a drink, I swear I'm going to cheer right up.

Ive done something similar on my forum, also when user is registered there is sound - "Welcome"...
Anyone added this to mods site?
