Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

This is the error I get after trying to log in at phpMyAdmin. I typed the password wrong the first time. So I tried again and I could log in fine. I made a backup from the DB and wanted to look at my forum. And there was the error. Could something have gone wrong?

Second question:
My forum doesn't have a lot of post, but the DB backup is only 62KB. Is that ok?

willemjan

Oops, I just made a big mistake. I requested an new password to my phpMyAdmin. Thats why it can't connect. I do have FTP and phpMyAdmin acces. Where to fix it?

willemjan

Ok, found that in settings.php. So now the question that remains: Has my backup gone right?

CapadY

I shouldn't know why youre backup wouldn't be fine, except for the database settings ofcourse.

For sure you can make a new backup :)
